What do they do?
Jodrell Bank is an observatory with the Discovery Centre as the visitor centre where you can explore the wonders of the universe and learn more about the workings of the giant Lovell Telescope. There are also gardens and tree collections.
What support is offered to schools?
The Discovery Centre hosts lots of educational opportunities for all key stages around space, the stars, gravity, forces, the Sun and the Solar System. They also have an Arboretum with picnic areas and a playground. To plan a school trip click here.
