Launch of Intergenerational Carbon Literacy project
The Launch of the Intergenerational Carbon Literacy project at Manchester University's School of Environment, Education and Development, brought together a truly eclectic mix of people with teachers, teaching assistants, governors, a parent, a High School pupil, Professors, lecturers, representatives from several Unions, the TUC, the Church, independent educators and a couple of left of centre political parties being represented.
The common ground was a shared interest in environmental education, and in particular, how MEEN's new project intends to work across whole school communities to help adults and young people learn about, and act on, Climate Change. Of course, this is the beginning of a new phase in our ongoing work around Climate Change: we hope it will be an exciting one and will keep you posted on developments!
Thanks to everyone for their input.
