Abbott Primary's Forest Garden

Published on 25th March 2015

It may have been the day of the Solar Eclipse but very few eyes at Abbott Primary were on the sky because everyone was so busy digging holes to plant the fruit trees!

Everyone came out to help whether it was doing the digging, the planting, the mulching or the watering. Parents were invited to join in too and as the saying goes, many hands make light work.

So the area was transformed from a flat playing field to something with huge potential whether for food production, herbs or as a resource for wildlife.

Well done Abbott for working so hard. Let's hope the garden is fruitful!
